the language of process, MMU Special Collections, Manchester (UK)

Sir Kenneth Green Library
Manchester (UK)

September 23 -  December 20, 2013

With the development of Computer Aided Design, coupled with new material and digital production technologies, there has been a revolutionary change in the tools and opportunities designers have to develop and manufacture objects.

The Language of Process showcases a range of innovative products that utilise cutting edge approaches to design and manufacture, taken by some of the world's leading creative designers. The landscape for design and making is changing, and with it the language of objects - the work might surprise, delight or even offend you, but it will challenge your preconceptions of what is possible, and the future of product design.

The exhibition has been curated by David Grimshaw, Programme Leader for MA/MSc Product Design at Manchester Metropolitan University.
